This decking profile is made entirely from recycled polystyrene sourced in the UK.
We call it 'Synthetic Wood'.
Unlike wood composite, which contains sawdust fillers or wood flour, and can therefore be subject to damage from rain or frost, Kedel's Plastic Wood does not absorb water.
It wont decay or be eaten by insects; a problem you'll find definitely have with wood.
Its colourfast - UV stable, and it doesn't rot, so there won't be any need for the added cost of labour and materials for painting or varnishing.
Once it's installed, you can forget about it.
Synthetic Wood from Kedel doesn't split, or crack, and has better slip resistance than wood even in wet conditions. If you have children that may be crawling on it, or enjoy walking on your deck in bare feet, you can rest assured that their are no splinters.
And when your children grow up it will still look the same as when you first put it in.
