Rivers and recycled plastic picnic tables
This Ribble Picnic Table will last as long as any river - we named the range after the river Ribble in Lancashire because the rivers are an excellent example of recycling for us all to follow.
Like the river water our products can be endlessly recycled, which is a lot better than dumping waste plastic in landfill. Currently 30% of landfill is made up of plastic waste.
There are 4 projects being planned in the UK to mine the plastic from landfill and turn it into energy, and the Belgians and Americans are also pursuing that idea, and are likely to start their projects even before we do.
Ideally we would prefer to see plastic stay in a sustainable recycling loop rather than be incinerated or dumped into landfill sites and the best way to pursue this is to design more and more useful products that use up and recycle waste plastic.
Our 1.5 meter Ribble range picnic table has the equivalent of approx 255 four pint plastic milk cartons in it and the 2m version a whopping 375. This is a genuine recycled plastic low carbon product that will last for generations.
